CPD Points

What are CPD points? How do I earn them?
NICET uses the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point system to ensure that certificants keep their knowledge and skills up to date after achieving certification. During your three-year certification period, you can earn points for working in the field, training, and other activities. (For a complete list of CPD activities, please visit NICET's "Counting Your CPD Points" web page.) When you apply for recertification, you must report the total number of points you anticipate earning by your expiration date; you'll need at least 90 points for each certification you wish to continue.

If none of these FAQs answered your question, please e-mail NICET or search again. Questions related to your personal progress toward meeting a certification requirement must be directed to NICET by telephone. Please call 888-476-4238 or 703-548-1518.
