NICET will no longer offer testing in the program of Video Security Systems after December 31, 2023. Unfortunately, testing and certification volumes do not support regular updates and maintenance for the exams.

Candidates meeting an exam requirement prior to January 1, 2024, may still apply for certification for the exam level that they met prior to that date. Certified individuals may maintain certifications through the regular recertification process.

Video Security Systems certification is provided in two tracks: one for Technicians and one for Designers. They have been carefully constructed over several years, with the help of three industry associations, five major manufacturers, dozens of expert volunteers, and hundreds of survey respondents and beta testers.
